Wolves Win Fourth-Straight Game with Sunday’s 108-91 Road Victory over Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Iowa Wolves won their fourth-straight game with Sunday’s 108-91 road victory over Grand Rapids at Van Andel Arena.

Iowa (6-3), which led by as many as 22 points in the win, never trailed Grand Rapids (1-7) fueled by a 12-0 opening scoring run that started and ended with baskets by Minnesota assignment player, Josh Minott. Minott finished the game with 10 points, eight rebounds and a season-high six assists.

Timberwolves’ two-way players Luka Garza and AJ Lawson had great games as Garza recorded a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds along with equaling his season best with six assists. Lawson stuffed the stat sheet with 22 points and seven rebounds in his second game with the Wolves. Emmanuel Mudiay was other Iowa player to reach double figures in scoring with 15 points and he added four assists.

Justin Tillman paced the Gold with 21 points.

Iowa shot 50% (42-of-84) from the field, won the rebounding battle, 45-39 and tallied 32 assists. Seven players finished with two or more assists for the Wolves.

Iowa continues its road trip with back-to-back games at Motor City on Dec. 2 and 3.
