Iowa Wolves to Host First-Ever "Bite Back on Hunger" Food Drive Benefiting the Food Bank of Iowa

By Iowa Wolves Staff /November 20, 2024

The Iowa Wolves are excited to hold the first-ever “Bite Back on Hunger” food drive benefiting the Food Bank of Iowa. Starting at this Friday’s game against the Grand Rapids Gold, fans can bring canned food items and/or personal care products to the next five home games on Nov. 22, Nov. 23, Dec. 9, Dec. 10 and Dec. 13 at Wells Fargo Arena. Collection bins will be located inside the north and south entrances of Wells Fargo Arena.

“We’re thrilled to be part of the Iowa Wolves’ gameday experience through the “Bite Back on Hunger” food drive,” said Food Bank of Iowa Vice President of Communications and Strategy Annette Hacker. “Thank you to the Wolf Pack for your nonperishable food donations, which will help many families facing tough times this holiday season.”

The first 100 donations at each game will receive a free ticket to Iowa’s Howliday Game on Dec. 13 against the Motor City Cruise.  Help the Iowa Wolves and the Food Bank of Iowa give back to those in need and “Bite Back on Hunger.” For more information or have questions, please contact Jeff Duis, Community Engagement Coordinator, jeff.duis@iawolves.com.
