Wolves Sweep Sioux Falls with 112-109 Win

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Iowa Wolves swept the season series with the Sioux Falls Skyforce with its 112-109 win on Saturday night at the Sanford Pentagon. 

For the second-straight night, Emmanuel Mudiay was the hero for Iowa (8-17) converting a three-point play with 0.9 seconds left to give the Wolves the win. 

Sioux Falls (13-11) led by five points with 2:42 remaining after Jamal Cain’s putback. The teams traded baskets with Iowa going up by three with 18.8 seconds to go with Jordy Tshimanga’s tip in. Cain followed with a three for the 14th tie in the game that also featured 12 lead changes.

For the second consecutive night, Craig Randall II paced Iowa in scoring with 26 points tonight. Timberwolves assignee Wendell Moore Jr. had 22 points while Mudiay finished with 20 points and 10 assists. Matt Lewis scored 19 points.

Omer Yurtseven posted a double-double with 28 points and 17 rebounds for the Skyforce. Cain also had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. 

Iowa travels to Rio Grande Valley for a pair of games on March 9 and March 11.
