Wolves Remain Undefeated at Home with Sunday’s 119-102 Win over Herd

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Wolves (4-3) defeated the Wisconsin Herd (4-5) 119-102 on Sunday afternoon to improve to 4-0 this season at Wells Fargo Arena.
The Wolves erased a 12-point third-quarter deficit helped by a trio of players off the bench. PJ Dozier and Brandon Sampson each scored 12 points while CJ Elleby added 10. The three combined to make eight three-pointers in the game led by Dozier, who made four in his return to the court after missing the past three games. As a team, Iowa knocked down 17 threes.
Iowa set a franchise single-game team assists record with 40 on 44 field goals. The previous record was 37 against the Santa Cruz Warriors on Dec. 12, 2020. Emmanuel Mudiay handed out a game-high 11 assists and three others had five or more assists in the win.
Luka Garza paced all scorers with 30 points, his second-straight 30-point game and the third already this season. Josh Minott tallied 17, Wendell Moore Jr. who came back after missing the past two games had 12 points and Matt Lewis was the final Iowa player in double figures with 11.
Jontay Porter led Wisconsin with 19 points and six others from the Herd finished in double digits.
Iowa will enjoy a short break before a five-game road trip starts at Fort Wayne on Nov. 25.
