Wolves Drop Road Game at Cleveland, 119-108

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Charge defeated the Iowa Wolves, 119-108, Thursday night at the Wolstein Center.

Cleveland (5-1) trailed Iowa (2-3) at halftime, 57-52, and were later down by seven points in third quarter before a 16-3 scoring run helped the Charge grab control. The Wolves were twice able to tie the game late in the third before Chandler Vaudrin’s cutting layup gave Cleveland the lead for good as Iowa dropped its third consecutive game.

Two-way Luka Garza made his return for Iowa after a brief stint with Minnesota and finished with 21 points and six rebounds. Emmanuel Mudiay returned after missing the last game and had 20 points, five steals and four rebounds. Timberwolves’ assignee Josh Minott recorded his second double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Iowa returns to Wells Fargo Arena this weekend against the Wisconsin Herd in a back-to-back, starting Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT with Sunday’s series finale a 3 p.m. CT. tipoff.
