Wolves Add Amauri Hardy; Waive Daniel Giddens

The Iowa Wolves announced today that the team has added guard Amauri Hardy from the available player pool. In a corresponding move, Iowa waived center Daniel Giddens.

Hardy, 6-1, last played in the NBA G League with the Texas Legends during the 2022-23 season. Hardy appeared in 38 games (eight starts), averaging 9.5 points, 3.1 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per game. Prior to his stint with the Legends, Hardy played with the G League Ignite during the 2021-22 season, appearing in 18 games, averaging 6.7 points, 2.4 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 17.6 minutes per game.

Hardy signed with the Ignite after playing his final collegiate season at the University of Oregon where he played in 28 games (13 starts) for the Ducks, averaging 3.9 points, 2.2 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 19.5 minutes per game. Prior to Oregon, Hardy played three seasons at UNLV. 

Giddens, 6-11, signed with Iowa from the player pool on Dec. 10 and appeared in nine games, averaging 0.8 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.
