Iowa Wolves Acquire Returning Rights to Nik Stauskas

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Wolves announced today that the team has acquired the returning player rights to guard Nik Stauskas from the College Park Skyhawks in exchange for the returning player rights to forward Chris Silva.
Stauskas appeared in eight NBA games during the 2021-22 season between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat, averaging 2.3 points in 4.9 minutes per game. The University of Michigan product played in 16 NBA G League games last season between the Grand Rapids Gold and the Maine Celtics, averaging 23.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game. Stauskas was originally drafted by the Sacramento Kings with the eighth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
Silva appeared in 10 NBA games last season between the Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves, averaging 2.6 points per game in 9.1 minutes. The South Carolina product played in 29 G League games with Iowa last season, averaging 16.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
