Wisconsin Sweeps Iowa with 109-104 Win

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Wisconsin Herd swept a two-game series over the Iowa Wolves with a 109-104 comeback win on Saturday night at Oshkosh Arena.
Wisconsin (2-2) erased a 15-point deficit at the start of the fourth quarter outscoring Iowa (1-4) 41-24 in the final period.
Iverson Molinar scored a team-high 19 points off the bench for the Herd making the deciding three-pointer with 28.3 seconds left. Molinar’s three came after Nojel Eastern’s dunk gave the Wolves their final lead of the night at 103-102. D.J. Carton was fouled on the ensuing possession but made just one of two free throws as Iowa had to foul to try and extend the game.
Elijah Hughes made both free throws and Wisconsin then forced a turnover by Carton. Glen Robinson III then made both free throws to ice the game.
Eastern and Phillip Wheeler posted doubles-doubles as the Iowa duo each scored 20 points. Eastern pulled down 11 rebounds to tally his third consecutive double-double. Wheeler, who made his first start of the season, had 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the year.
Trevor Keels finished with 18 points while Carton and Javonte Cooke each scored 17.
Stephen Thompson was next behind Molinar in scoring with 18 points while Hughes finished with 15.
Iowa is back home at Wells Fargo Arena on Monday as the Motor City Cruise visit for a 7 p.m. game.
