Windy City Completes Weekend Sweep of Iowa

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – The Windy City Bulls (4-1) completed a weekend sweep of the Iowa Wolves (2-2) on Sunday with a 121-105 win at Now Arena.
Wendell Moore Jr. led all scorers with a career-high 26 points to go with five assists and four rebounds for the Wolves. Josh Minott added 20 points and four rebounds while D.J. Carton scored 18 points off the bench.
The Wolves came out firing in the first quarter fueled by a 6-0 run to start the game and led 33-20 after one quarter. Iowa maintained a strong lead for most of the second quarter until Windy City ripped off a 10-0 spurt near the end of the period and led 64-58 at halftime
Windy City never trailed after halftime as the Bulls continually kept Iowa at bay. The Wolves finally pulled within five points with just over seven minutes to go in the game. However, the Bulls fired off a 9-0 run that sealed the game.
Carlik Jones paced Windy City with 23 points while Marko Simonovic had 22 points and he added 10 assists for the double-double.
Iowa stays on the road as it will visit the Cleveland Charge Thursday night at 6 p.m. CT.
