By Iowa Wolves Staff /December 4, 2022

DETROIT – The Motor City Cruise edged the Iowa Wolves, 113-110, on Saturday night at Wayne State Fieldhouse.

Motor City (3-9) snapped Iowa’s (7-4) five-game winning streak as the teams faced in the finale of a back-to-back.

PJ Dozier and Emmanuel Mudiay paced the Wolves with 22 points each. Dozier set his season-high for points. DJ Carton scored 19 points and pulled in 10 rebounds off the bench.

Stanley Umude scored 26 points off the bench for the Cruise.

Motor City didn’t lead until the third quarter and then fought off Iowa as there were seven lead changes. Mudiay’s driving layup put Iowa up three points with just less than one minute remaining. However, Motor City quickly took the lead back for good with four-straight points, the final two coming from a critical putback off a missed free throw with two seconds left and the Cruise up just one.

Iowa closes its five-game road trip at Fort Wayne on Monday night at 6 p.m. CT.
