Los Lobos, Hispanic Heritage Night Set for Tuesday with Special Postgame Concert from Son Peruchos

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Wolves finish a two-game series against the Santa Cruz Warriors on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. CT at Wells Fargo Arena.

Tuesday is another game in the Principal Community Celebration series: Los Lobos, Hispanic Heritage Night. Iowa (1-3) will wear specialty green Los Lobos jerseys, which are now available to bid on in auction with the proceeds benefitting Hola Center of Iowa. Fans can stay around after the game for a concert from Son Peruchos in the Champions Club. Son Peruchos is a local Latin American band that plays a fusion of Andean, South American, Latin, and Caribbean music.

Santa Cruz (4-0) took the first game in the series Saturday night in a 136-130 back-and-forth affair that was not decided until late by a big Warriors’ scoring run. Santa Cruz remains undefeated in the regular season with every win coming on the road. Former NBA player Kevin Knox II powered the Warriors with a career-high 39 points on 14-of-17 shooting, including hitting 6-of-7 three-pointers.

Minnesota two-way Jaylen Clark had a big game in loss for Iowa with a career-high 32 points. Clark made 10-of-17 shots, including a career-best six three-pointers and added seven rebounds, a career-high five steals and two assists. El Ellis continued his hot start to the regular season with 23 points along with seven assists. Trevor Keels added 22 points and seven assists.

Following Tuesday’s game, Iowa goes on the road for games at Salt Lake City on Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. CT and Rio Grande Valley on Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. CT. The Wolves return home Jan. 13 and Jan. 15 to host the Rip City Remix and Greensboro Swarm, respectively. Both home games will tip at 6:30 p.m. CT.
