Kings Defeat the Wolves, 132-108

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Stockton Kings led wire to wire in a 132-108 victory over the Iowa Wolves on Sunday afternoon in NBA G League action at Wells Fargo Arena.
Stockton (14-5), which increased its first-place lead in the Western Conference standings to two games with the win, started the game with the eight unanswered points and led 47-25 after one quarter of play.
The Kings had six players led by two-way Neemias Queta finish in double figure points. Queta scored 22 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and handed out three assists. Alex O’Connell scored 21 points with 16 coming in the first quarter.
Iowa (5-13) was paced by Craig Randall II who had 23 points off the bench. Javonte Cooke added 20 points also coming off the bench.
Stockton led by as many as 42 points in the second half in the first meeting between the teams this season. The Kings connected on 15 three-pointers while the Wolves made just 9-of-39 tries.
The teams rematch tomorrow at noon for Iowa’s first-ever Community Day Game. Following Monday’s game, the NBA G League All-Star Break will be Feb. 14-21 with Wolves next playing on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. CT when the Mexico City Capitanes return to Wells Fargo Arena.
