Iowa Wolves Visit Windy City Bulls Saturday Night

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – The Iowa Wolves visit the Windy City Bulls this Saturday night at 7 p.m. for the team’s final road contest of the Tip-Off Tournament portion of their schedule. The game will be streamed on NBAGLeague.com and on the Chicago Sports Network.
Iowa at 9-1 has the best record in the NBA G League. With four games remaining in Tip-Off Tournament play the team is vying for one of eight spots to compete for the Showcase Cup in a single-elimination tournament during the NBA G League Winter Showcase Dec. 19-22 in Orlando, Fla. This will be the first game for the Wolves against Windy City (3-7) this season. Before Saturday, the Bulls will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. to face the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Thursday evening. Sioux Falls is currently in second place in the central division regional pod, two games behind Iowa. The Wolves have claimed a pair of wins over the Skyforce this season.
Iowa’s hot start helped a pair of Wolves earn top league honors this week. The first award is Minnesota Timberwolves assignee Leonard Miller was named the Kia NBA G League Player of the Month for November. Miller has started all 10 games helping the team to its hot start and is averaging 23.1 points on 51.2% shooting and 86.2% from the free throw line to go with 13.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. Miller’s 13.2 rebounds per game currently rank second in the G League.
Additionally, Iowa Wolves Head Coach Ernest Scott is the G League Coach of the Month for November. This marks the first Coach of the Month award in team history. In his second season as Head Coach of the Wolves, Scott has led the team to a league-best 9-1 record. Scott is in his fourth season overall with the Wolves after serving as an assistant coach for two seasons prior to being head coach.
Iowa’s defense is holding its opponents to 104.5 points per game which ranks fourth in the G League. The Wolves’ offense is shooting 47.9% from the field which is the third-best mark in the league while the team ranks ninth in scoring at 114.4 points per game and eighth in team rebounding at 47.4 per game. Defensively, Iowa ranks eighth in team steals at 10.0 per game and ninth in blocks at 6.7 per game.
Following their final road game, the Wolves return to Wells Fargo Arena for three home games next week hosting the Cleveland Charge Dec. 9 and 10 and the Motor City Cruise on Dec. 13. All three games will start at 6:30 pm.
