Iowa Wolves Drop Road Game to Stockton Kings, 110-92

STOCKTON, Calif. – A tough shooting night hindered the Iowa Wolves in a 110-92 loss to the Stockton Kings on Friday night at Stockton Arena.

Stockton (6-1) and Iowa (1-5) each had just seven players suit up. The Kings overcame being short-handed by knocking down 20 three-pointers and shooting 50.0 percent (39-of-78) from the floor. The Wolves tough shooting performance included hitting just 6-of-31 (19.4 percent) from three and 35-of-88 (39.8 percent) from the field. 

Jalen Slawson paced Stockton with 24 points as six of the seven Kings scored double figures. Former Minnesota Timberwolves Jaylen Nowell scored 21 points. 

For the second-straight game, Tyrese Martin led the Wolves in scoring with 24 points. D.J. Carton was next with 22 points while Lance Stephenson had 16 points and Kok Yat finished with a career-high 13 points.

Iowa returns home to Wells Fargo Arena for a back-to-back against the Salt Lake City Stars on Sunday at 3 p.m. and Monday at 12 p.m. Sunday afternoon will be Iowa State Fair Day presented by Landus with the first 1,000 fans receiving a free Alpha Butter Bobblehead.
