Iowa Wolves Announce 2023-24 Roster

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Wolves today announced its 2023-24 roster, which includes four players, Brian Bowen II, D.J. Carton, Javonte Cooke and Phillip Wheeler who each played with Iowa last year.
The roster features three two-way players, 2023 second-round pick Jaylen Clark from UCLA, former Iowa standout Luka Garza, who split time last year between Iowa and with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Daishen Nix, who joined Minnesota after spending the past two seasons with the Houston Rockets. Garza was transferred by Minnesota to Iowa Thursday morning and will suit up for the Wolves’ season opener Friday night against Windy City at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena.
NBA assignment players on the roster include 2023 second-round pick Leonard Miller, who played with the NBA G League Ignite last season and 2022 first-round pick Wendell Moore Jr. Moore Jr. appeared in 29 games (two starts) with the Timberwolves and in eight games with Iowa during the 2022-23 season.
Three additional players with NBA experience are on the roster, Trevor Keels, Vit Krejčí and Tyrese Martin. Keels saw action in three games last season with the New York Knicks. Krejčí spent last season with the Atlanta Hawks and appeared in 29 games. Martin played in 16 games with the Hawks during the 2022-23 season.
Rounding out the roster are Iowa’s 2023 first-round pick Kok Yat and second-round pick Nojel Eastern and local tryout player Isaiah Moore.
