Iowa Wolves Announce 2022-23 Promotional Calendar

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Wolves, the NBA G League franchise of the Minnesota Timberwolves, have announced the team’s promotion schedule for the 2022-23 season. The schedule features multiple giveaways, special themed jerseys and games and the return of community celebration games presented by Principal.

Iowa’s first game against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Saturday, Nov. 5 will be Premiere Night presented by KwikStar. Prior to the game, the Iowa Wolves Shoe and Card Expo will take place in Hy-Vee Hall Ballroom C. The first 1,000 fans through the doors of Wells Fargo Arena will receive a special Wolves themed t-shirt. Free KwikStar gas cards will parachute down into the stands throughout the game.

Sunday, Nov. 6 against the Skyforce will be Marvel Super HeroTM Day with the team wearing custom Black Panther jerseys. The first 3,000 fans will receive a custom Marvel/G League comic book. Fans are invited to dress as their favorite Marvel superheroes with special Marvel character appearances by Captain America and Black Panther.

The first community celebration game presented by Principal will Pride Community Celebration on Nov. 20 against the Wisconsin Herd followed by Disability Empowerment Night on Dec. 9 against the Grand Rapids Gold. AAPI Community Celebration will be Jan. 27 against Oklahoma City Blue, Black History Month Community Celebration on Feb. 9 against the Texas Legends, Hispanic Heritage Community Celebration on Feb. 22 against the Mexico City Capitanes and Women’s History Month Community Celebration on March 13 against the Birmingham Squadron. The team will wear special themed jerseys for each community celebration game and the jerseys will be auctioned off with the proceeds benefiting local community partners.

Iowa’s postgame concert series returns with Country Night Concert on Feb. 4 and Faith and Family Concert on Feb. 5 against the Austin Spurs. More concert details, including performers will be announced at a later date.

Iowa will host home games on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) and New Year’s Day (Jan. 1) against the Raptors 905 and Legends, respectively, with winter hat and winter mitten giveaways presented by MidAmerican Energy.

As announced this past summer, the Iowa Wolves’ cancer awareness Hoops for Hope game presented by Kinship Brewing Company will be Nov. 19 against the Herd, Timberwolves Day on Jan. 29 against the Blue, Education Day Game presented by IMT Insurance on Feb. 7 against the Capitanes and Alpha’s Puppy Bowl on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 12) against the Stockton Kings.

Also, on the calendar this season will be Hoops for Troops on Dec. 10 against the Gold, WWE Night on Dec. 12 against the Motor City Cruise, Iowa State Fair Night on Jan. 15 against the Memphis Hustle, Community Day Game on Feb. 13 against the Kings and Fan Appreciation Game on March 25 against the Lakeland Magic.

Special foam hype sticks will be given away to fans at the Hoops for Hope game, Iowa Wolves and Minnesota Timberwolves branded wrist bands at the Timberwolves Day game and team trading cardsets at the Fan Appreciation Game.

All promotional giveaways during the season are available while supplies last and additional promotional events may be added at a later date. Single game presale tickets will be available here starting Tuesday, Oct. 11 and public on sale tickets will be available on Monday, Oct. 17.
