Iowa Wolves Announce 2022-23 NBA G League Schedule

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Wolves today announced its 2022-23 NBA G League schedule, highlighted by 24 home games, including the Showcase Cup opener against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Saturday, November 5 at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena. The entire schedule with game times is attached. The team’s full home promotion schedule will be announced at a later date.

The 2022-23 NBA G League season is again divided into the Showcase Cup and the Regular Season. The Wolves will play 16 Showcase Cup games competing to be one of the top eight teams heading into the 2022 Winter Showcase held December 19-22 in Las Vegas. Winter Showcase features a single-game elimination tournament for those top eight teams to crown a Showcase Cup champion¬. Every team is guaranteed at least two games in Las Vegas. The regular season slate includes 32 scheduled games with the top six teams in each conference making the playoffs.

The Wolves’ remaining home Showcase Cup games in November include a home game against Sioux Falls on Nov. 6 and games against the Wisconsin Herd on Nov. 19-20. Iowa’s remaining home showcase cup contests will be against the Grand Rapids Gold on Dec. 9-10, the Motor City Cruise on Dec. 12 and the Cleveland Charge on Dec. 15.

Iowa’s road games in the Showcase Cup include trips to the Windy City Bulls on Nov. 12-13, at Cleveland on Nov. 17, at the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Nov. 25 and Dec. 5, at Grand Rapids on Nov. 27 and at Motor City on Dec. 2-3.

Iowa starts the regular season portion of its schedule on Thursday, Dec. 29 when the Raptors 905 travel to Wells Fargo Arena for the first game of a two-game series. The two teams will play again on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31). The Wolves finish the three-game homestand against the Texas Legends on New Year’s Day (Jan. 1). The Wolves’ remaining January homes games will be against the Memphis Hustle on Jan. 15 and against the Oklahoma City Blue on Jan. 27 and 29, a series which starts a season-long nine-game homestand.

Iowa has road games at the Salt Lake City Stars on Jan. 6-7, at the South Bay Lakers on Jan. 9 and at the Ontario Clippers on Jan. 12. In addition, the Wolves travel east for three games, two at the Westchester Knicks on Jan. 22 and 24 and one at the Long Island Nets on Jan. 25.

Iowa begins the month of February against the Austin Spurs on Feb. 4-5 followed by games with the Mexico City Capitanes on Feb. 7, the Texas Legends on Feb. 9, the Stockton Kings on Feb. 12-13 and Mexico City on Feb. 22. The league’s annual all-star break will be held from Feb. 16-21.

Iowa ends February at South Bay on Feb. 25 and with a back-to-back against the G League Ignite in Henderson, Nev. on Feb. 27-28.

The Wolves wrap up the regular season with three home games scheduled in March against the Birmingham Squadron on March 13 and 22 and the Lakeland Magic visiting Des Moines for the regular season finale on March 25. Iowa makes trips to Sioux Falls on March 3-4, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on March 9 and 11 and the Santa Cruz Warriors from March 17-18.
