Iowa Wolves Add Gabe Kalscheur

The Iowa Wolves announced today that the team has added guard Gabe Kalscheur from the available player pool. The former Iowa State Cyclone will wear No. 20 and be available for Iowa’s game on Friday night against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Kalscheur, 6-4, joins the Wolves after appearing in 18 games this season with the Capital City Go-Go, averaging 2.9 points, 0.4 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.

Kalscheur played in 68 career games (57 starts) over two seasons (2021-23) for Iowa State helping the Cyclones make two NCAA Tournament appearances. He averaged 11.2 points per game at Iowa State, including a career-high 12.9 his final season when he earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors and was named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team.

Prior to Iowa State, the Edina, Minn. native, was at the University of Minnesota for three seasons, appearing in 88 career games (87 starts) for the Gophers.
