DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Wolves are back home this week for a pair of contests at Wells Fargo Arena. Iowa (1-6) welcomes the Rip City Remix (1-2) on Monday night and then the Greensboro Swarm (5-2) on Wednesday night. The Wolves are trying to stop a five-game losing streak that started with a road defeat at the Austin Spurs on New Year’s Night. Both home games will start at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Rio Grande Valley beat Iowa, 132-113, on Saturday night at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. Rio Grande Valley raced out to a 19-2 lead to start the game and never trailed in the game. The Wolves struggled from beyond the arc making just 5-of-20 (20%) while the Vipers made 20-of-47 (42.6%).

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Rob Dillingham was assigned to Iowa on Sunday for a rehab assignment. Dillingham, who was drafted with the No. 8 pick by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2024 NBA Draft and later traded to the Timberwolves, has been sidelined since Dec. 29 with a right ankle sprain. He has been cleared for full-contact, 5-on-5 basketball activities. Prior to the injury, Dillingham, appeared in 15 games for Minnesota, averaging 3.7 points, 1.7 assists and 0.7 rebounds per game while shooting 45.1% from the floor and 42.9% from the three-point line in 8.5 minutes per game.

Following this week’s two games, Iowa will enjoy a break before the NBA G League’s newest franchise, the Valley Suns, visit Wells Fargo Arena for a back-to-back series on Jan. 23 and 24. Both games will start at 6:30 p.m. CT.
