Iowa Falls in Road Trip Finale

ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Clippers never trailed in a 126-107 win over the Iowa Wolves on Thursday night at Toyota Arena. 

Ontario (5-3) and Iowa (1-6) played for the second time during the 2022-23 season after squaring off first during the Showcase Cup opener in Las Vegas on December 19. The Clippers won the first game and went on to win the Showcase Cup.

CJ Elleby scored a team-high 21 points for the Wolves while Emmanuel Mudiay tallied 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists. D.J. Carton scored 13 points while Jordan Bohannon, Javonte Cooke, and Josh Minott each had 12 points. 

Brandon Boston Jr., the MVP of the Showcase Cup, poured in a game-high 34 points Thursday for the Clippers. Nate Darling added 29 points off the bench and four others scored in double figures.

Ontario scored the first nine points of the game, led 32-22 after one quarter of play and increased its lead to 20 points at halftime, 62-42. The Clippers led by as many 27 points in the second half.

Iowa returns to Wells Fargo Sunday afternoon against the Memphis Hustle at 2 p.m. Sunday will be the first-ever Iowa State Fair Day presented by Landus. Find more information here
