First Principal Community Celebration Game Friday Night For the Wolves

The Iowa Wolves return home to Wells Fargo Arena to host the Grand Rapids Gold in a back-to-back Friday and Saturday nights. Tip-off for both games will be 6:30 p.m. CT. BUY TICKETS.

Iowa (5-1) is coming off a successful first road trip of the season after going 3-1 with victories over the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Indiana Mad Ants and the Motor City Cruise. The Wolves are off to their best start since the 2009-10 season. Grand Rapids (3-1) sits just one game back of Iowa in the central division standings.

Nearing the halfway point of the NBA G League's inaugural Tip-Off Tournament, Iowa is in contention for one of the top eight spots in the Winter Showcase held December 19-22 in Orlando, Florida.

The Wolves closed their road trip on Wednesday with a 140-122 win over the Cruise behind a season high in points scored led by six players who finished in double figures. In his NBA G League debut, Minnesota assignee Terrence Shannon Jr. poured in a game-high 34 points on 13-of-23 shooting and added six rebounds and six assists.

Friday night is the Pack Has Your Back Mental Health Awareness Night, the first of six Principal Community Celebration Series games. The team will wear their first specialty jersey of the season. The jerseys were designed by local artist Van Holmgren and will be up for auction through Saturday night at 10 pm, benefitting Iowa's Healthiest State Initiative. BID NOW.

Following this weekend, Iowa hits the road again for it final away games of the Tip-off Tournament. The Wolves visit the Wisconsin Herd on Nov. 29 and 30 and the Windy City Bulls on Dec. 6. Iowa closes the Tip-off Tournament with home games versus the Cleveland Charge on Dec. 9 and 10 before a rematch with the Cruise on Dec. 13.
